Dear people complaining about Serah’s bikini,
stop.
1. It’s an ALTERNATE outfit. That means you don’t have to use it. Hell, you don’t even have to DOWNLOAD it. Complaining about this is like complaining that Coca-Cola makes Diet Coke as an alternative to regular Coke.
2. She lives on a beach, and is a very feminine character. Is it really that farfetched of an idea for her to own a cutesy bikini, and feel comfortable running around in it? One of the most important parts of Serah’s character is that she isn’t a warrior…she’s a regular girl who was thrown into the fray by fate. Dressing similar to a normal person accentuates that point. Ergo, the outfit fits.
3. I doubt people would be complaining if Noel were running around shirtless.
But at the same time, I guess this means that people are realizing that Square actually made a fantastic game, so they have to nitpick at things like alternate costumes. Back in my day, we didn’t even have the option of switching costumes, you know.
Oh and let me add: WEARING A BIKINI DOES NOT MAKE YOU A SLUT FOR THE LOVE OF ETRO. THERE IS NOT EVEN A REMOTE CORRELATION BETWEEN BIKINI WEARING AND BEING A SLUT, BOTH IN VIDEO GAMES AND IN REAL LIFE.
